When I look to the future, and picture my college years, I see this as a time of personal growth.
On the volleyball court I push myself to be a dynamic and positive player. I am able to do this because of the opportunities I have experienced through the sport of volleyball. Over my past five years of volleyball I have learned the importance of commitment, hard work, teamwork and leadership.
In my sophomore year of high school I was team captain and MVP at various tournaments. During my junior year I'm most proud of our team placing second in a very competitive Division 1.
Outside of school I continue to train and improve my skills. I train with my volleyball club 3 times per week, a private volleyball coach once per week in addition to a personal trainer for my overall fitness. I have recently been invited to referee a number of junior tournaments and really enjoy seeing the game from a different perspective.
My goal is to position myself for a medical degree by exploring an education in kinesiology. Ideally I would like to enrol in a program that will benefit me both academically and athletically while challenging me to be the best person I can be.
Thank you,
Emma
