Hana Anwar '20 Recruiting Profile

Born and raised in San Diego, California I am a 5 foot 9 inch, hitter with an 9'3" approach jump, I have always been involved with a variety of sports. From Soccer to tennis, then basketball and now volleyball. A little over a year ago, my best friend was playing volleyball , and I was always curious how fun the sport is. I am always up to trying new challenges with a competitive attitude. Volleyball to me was love at first sight. The sport came so natural to me and instantly became my passion.

Not only do I want to play volleyball at the collegiate level, I also want to further my education. I am open to considering playing at all division levels and am looking for a university where I can pursue a degree in biology or in the medical field. My ultimate goal is to play high-level competitive volleyball. Playing volleyball for the last two years has a great impact on me. I learned volleyball requires a lot of teamwork, communication and trust. This made me a better player on the court, student in the classroom, and a better friend and daughter at home.
