My life has been influenced most by my parents who instilled in me a hard work ethic and they had continued to push me to grow in both my academic and athletic careers. I became interested in my sport through a volleyball summer camp that was available through my middle school the summer before sixth grade. I was also interested in the sport because my aunt both played and coached the sport. I have learned how powerful my mind is especially during game play. When I set my mind to something, I can truly get the job done. I have also learned that it is crucial to be a leader in all situations on the court, especially communicating with passers on defense, passers on serve receive, hitters, and always with your setters. Throughout the rest of my high school academic career I would like to continue to work hard and be able to take an internship my senior year. Going in to college, I would like to get an academic or athletic scholarship and I would like to get accepted into a pre-medical program in order to later become a dermatologist. I had to overcome doubt when it came to working hard to get where I am today and the experience has helped me to become a better volleyball player. I possess a very strong drive that pushes me to become better and strive for perfection. I am also very motivated to become better at anything I do and I also enjoy taking initiative on the court for our team to be the best it can be.
