Amirah Harrington '25 Recruiting Profile

I am a student-athlete who currently attends the #3 Public High School in Illinois, Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy. This goes to show I am a student-athlete who takes academics very seriously. I am looking to play for a college that meets my academic as well as athletic goals. I am planning to go into the Business Administration Field.

I am a setter and have been playing volleyball for 6 years. I have been setting since I have started playing volleyball. This had always been my position, and I know that this position has benefited me very well. The setter is known as being the “quarterback” on the court, and I have definitely experienced this, with being the leader and the whole team is in your hands. I have played with Epic United Volleyball Club for the past 2 years, and have played on the top elite national teams. While on these teams, I have participated in many different tournaments around the country including the President’s Day Tournament in Kenosha, WI, where being on all teams that have gone to this tournament, have finished top 10. I have also gone to Mideast Qualifier in MO, AAU National, and have finished top 5 in my league’s division. Throughout playing, I will continue to strengthen my physical and mental skills as a setter.
