Freshman year, I decided to add volleyball to the list of many sports that I participate in. I quickly grew to love volleyball and began to see myself improve. My Sophomore year I made varsity and found my role on the team as a starting opposite. My high school does not have a very strong program, so I learned to not let my game be dictated by the score board but rather by how I played and the atmosphere of the game. I am a coachable player, who learns quickly and always strives to improve my skills. This year I made it on to my clubs top team, even though it is my first year playing club. Since then, I have seen myself improve tremendously in the few months of club. This year I made SMASH 18’s, one of the strongest New England teams. Because I am the captain of my schools varsity ultimate frisbee team I have also learned valuable leadership skills, as well as learned to be a strong presence on and off the court. As a student, I strive to challenge myself, taking mostly honors classes.
As a newer player I have a lot of room to grow. My goal is to continue to improve and play at a high level throughout my four years of college, while getting a great education. I am looking to study business and entrepreneurship and am also willing to explore all options geographically.
