My first recollection of volleyball is when my dad took me to a camp as a 6 year old. It was called "Little Diggers" and we practiced with a beach ball and had 4 foot nets! I don't recall much about it but that it was a lot of fun and that I wanted to continue. The camps, JO seasons, and high school seasons have gone by so quickly since then but provided me memories I cherish and hope to continue in college.
I love the team nature of the sport. I love to see all members of the team working hard growing together. I've played all three front court positions but enjoy OH the most. I'm a six rotation player in both High School and JO. My best memories of high school have been playing with amazing teammates and representing my school. Our young team continues to get better and I grow with them both on and off the court.
Academically, I think I might want to be a veterinarian or work in health sciences. I also like English and am a talented writer. I go to Breck School in Golden Valley, Minnesota. I value academics and currently have a 3.92 gpa. It's sometimes challenging to balance both volleyball and academics but I wouldn't change it for anything.
I'm looking for a school that is the right mix of academics and athletics. I would love to play volleyball in college and I'm looking for a school that values both.
