My name is Hatty Hesemann. I graduate in 2024. I have attended New Covenant Academy since kindergarten. I started playing volleyball in fourth grade and have since fell in love with it. It is a dream of mine to continue to play in college. I have played setter, middle, opposite, and DS. My preferred position is Setter. I am 5 foot 8 and left handed with a 30 inch vertical.
I am with Apex VBC in Springfield, MO. I’ve played on varsity for school my freshmen, sophomore, and junior seasons. My freshmen year I was 2nd team all conference and Rookie of the year. I‘ve received Mark Twain POY the past 2 years, team MVP the past 2 years, 1st team all Districy the past 2 years.
My family consists of my Mom, Dad, an older brother, a younger brother, and my dog Sally!
All my coaches have commended me on my work ethic and being able to be super competitive. I stay focused while still having fun and helping my team enjoy the game.
I am very committed to volleyball. I take private lessons with coaches, workout with a trainer, and jump at any and every opportunity I get to play the game.
Academically I am also very focused and challenge myself. I am consistently an A+ student. I have received academic and athletic awards. I have won 23 LAD Fair ribbons, and have received awards in English and History classes. Career wise, I am interest in being a dietitian or practicing somewhere in the psychology field. Cognitive psychology and health psychology are the branches that I am interested in the most. I am considering these career fields because I love how our brain works and the application of that. I want to help be people to be at their healthiest and feel good. I am looking forward to going to college!
