Growing up I was not interested in much going sports had giving me something to look forward to and it gave meaning to my life. I have given many a chance but none had completed me. Entering middle school I was accepted on the volleyball team, it was then I felt as part of something important and gave full devotion to it, not only did I play for school but did further research and joined AAU. I was an outsider in middle school because I was taller then the other girls in my grade and was pushed into being a middle blocker for so long, but as time went on the girls on my team had grew and I was stuck with only the experience of a middle. I tried to adventure into another position like pin hitting but was always placed in the middle because that was what I was best at, I knew the ropes of the position and could time/ jump at a height to match with the other teams tallest hitters. As an athlete I this makes me a valuable player because although my height isn't to my advantage, I've learned to not only adapt and make the best of a hard situation but also be of great asset to my team and that is what makes me different.
