My interest for volleyball peeked during quarantine. We were on lockdown, and I was about to be entering high school. I spent months self teaching myself the sport. I would practice against walls, the side of my house, I’d lay in bed and practice setting. I watched youtube videos and started doing workouts related to the sport. Once school finally resumed, I joined the varsity team and was captain by my second year. My team wasn’t what I expected, it’s not as serious as some other teams. Nonetheless I find it important to consistently improve to be able to play at a college level. I am extremely hardworking and open to learn, I am very coachable and since my school doesn’t offer positions, I’d be open to learn and fit in any. I am very dedicated to this sport and get called an underdog, and while my school may not have offered me the best opportunity, I am trying to work with what I have and hopefully get a new opportunity in college.
