Isabella Maloney - Personal Statement:
My name is Isabella Maloney and I am currently exploring colleges that will allow me to not only further my academic career, but my volleyball career as well, all while preparing myself for life after academics and sports. At this time, I am still determining what my major might be but generally know that a college with strong liberal arts and a business program will allow me to best determine my professional path in the future. Academically, I currently have a 95 overall age in my Junior year at a top 10 academic school in our county. As for being a good candidate for any volleyball program moving forward, I believe that my background as a 2-year captain of my varsity volleyball program at Mount Mercy Academy as well as my experience with my club team Niagara Frontier Volleyball Club is one way that I have positioned myself that sets me apart from other players. Additionally, I believe that although I may not be the best player on the court at all times, that I am able to offset any shortcomings with a high volleyball IQ. Lastly and most importantly, before any of the above qualities or shortcomings that I may have, is that I strive to be a team player, the team success will and always has come first for any team that I have been part of so far. Overall, it is my goal to contribute to a college volleyball program in any way that I can, as I love the game and would greatly appreciate an opportunity to be a part of a volleyball team at the college level.
