Nicola Soper '26 Recruiting Profile

My name is Nicola Soper. I am a class of 2026, 5’ 10”, outside hitter/defensive specialist. I play at Candor Central High School in Candor, NY and the Whirlwind Volleyball Club at the Elite level. I am a multisport athlete, but my passion is volleyball. I am a a former newcomer of the year my freshman season, 2x First Team IAC All Star, 2 x First Team New York State All Star, and the 2024 State Tournament MVP, where my team won the championship. We also took 3rd in Class D in the 2023 season. I have been a varsity athlete since my freshman year and have led my team in kills and hitting percentage for the last three years. I am consistently top 3 on my team in passing, serve receive, and serving. I was am a 2 x IAC First Team All Star, and leaguev was the league MVP in basketball in the 2023/24 season. I am also currently 4th All Time in New York State Girls' Basketball in single-season rebounding and a Second Team IAC All Star in Softball with over a .400 batting average. Scholastically, I am 3rd in my class with a 96% average. I am a member of Key Club, Varsity Club, National Honor Society, and Student Council. I love to help out at my church because it helps me to be a better person and also allows me to bring back valuable things to teams that I am a part of. I work at my local ice cream store during the summers and love having many different interactions with the people in my community.
