Gina Salerno '21 Recruiting Profile

My name is Gina Salerno, and I am a 5'4 outside hitter from Dunkirk, NY. I am in the Class of 2021.  2019-2020 season was my first season on the Dunkirk Varsity volleyball team. I started every game as an outside hitter. I'm a very versatile player. I can hit, set, and play back row. I worked very hard to earn my starting spot on the team this year. I am currently enrolled in 7 college classes and have a 3.0 average.  I am very excited for my senior season for volleyball. I will continue to work hard and be a leader on the court. 

I strive to be my best in everything I do. Whether it's at school or Volleyball I am fully committed. I work hard in school and on the court, I always want to be the best I can be for everyone. I love to be a leader on a team. I really enjoy encouraging others and helping them when they need it. I believe I'm also very coachable. I am able to take orders and then put them to work. 

During my senior year, I plan to take more college classes so that I will be considered a Sophmore in college just by the time I graduate High School. After grading I plan to go to a college for Nursing or Criminal Justice. I hope to play Volleyball at the D1 or D2 level. I can't wait to grow stronger as a player, student. and most importantly, a teammate.
