Alexandra Jenkins '21 Recruiting Profile

Although I may not have any special awards from my years of playing volleyball, I believe I have grown as a player and a person through the sport. During freshman year, I did not make the travel team in my hometown, so I researched some teams in the surrounding areas and went to the tryouts and open gyms to see if I was a good fit for any of the teams. I landed in New York trying out for a team where I had not met any of the players, when I made the team I had to quickly learn how they ran practices and how they worked as a team. I was so fortunate that the players were very inviting and open to me. 

I am looking for a program that challenges me, athletically and academically. I am always up for a task that requires hard work and perseverance. I am a firm believer that I always have room to improve and grow as a player skillswise and personally.
