From a very young age, I have participated in sports. When I was four years old, my parents had me try various sports to see where I would find my niche. I always enjoyed playing sports, being on a team, and working hard to help my teams succeed. When I was in 7th grade, I fell in love with volleyball. Since then, I have worked hard to grow and improve as a volleyball player, and be part of a team that works together and never gives up. As I approach college age, I greatly hope I will have a chance to further my athletic career and continue to play in college. I love challenging myself, both athletically and academically, and I especially like to rise to the occasion to prove to anyone who doubts me at first. I love to learn new things, whether it's an equation in the classroom or a new skill on the court. I dedicate myself 100% to a task, and my teammates know I expect 100% from them as well. I have the persistence and mindset to work through difficult situations. I will bring all of these attributes to the college court. I think these characteristics help me not only on the court and with my teammates, but will also help me as I continue my studies in college. I hope to pursue a career in the medical or health fields, and I know that a strong work ethic and problem solving skills will be necessary. I am excited for my journey to continue as I finish my high school academic and athletic career and begin college. Although I do not know exactly where my path will lead, I am excited for all the experiences and opportunities that lie ahead, and I'm ready to continue to challenge myself and become a stronger student, athlete, and person.
