Gianna Pezzino '19 Recruiting Profile

My name is Gianna Pezzino and I am a Right side hitter and a DS. I have been playing for the Liverpool High school team for as long as I can remember. I have played on multiple club teams such as Club Syrv and Onondaga Volleyball Club (where I am currently playing at) winning many tournaments or getting in second place pushing ourselves on the court. While moving on in my athletic and academic successes I want to push myself in college while working on my studies for the future. However playing volleyball is a big priority of mine. Not only do I love the sport and enjoy every aspect of the game, I feel as if my best always comes out while playing. Trying to juggle both beach, high school, and club volleyball has its costs but I always find a way to balance it all with my school work. I hope that I can bring my motivation, hard work, team work, and dedication to a team in college. I’m a very coachable player and am willing to bring my best efforts to any team. Winning first place in Gold was a huge achievement of mine my senior year, to be able to have a hand in playing against the harder teams in our division and coming out on top had shaped me into a much better player. Having played beach has also helped me grow as a player for doubles and indoors as well. Giving me agility, strength, power, perseverance, and speed to use indoor and outdoor. Winning an AVP tournament 18u with my partner was a huge milestone in my volleyball career, being able to hustle and push myself and striving to meet my goals. As a right side hitter and a DS I have been able to prove myself as a strong and reliable athlete that would be able to play and bring passion to the team every time I step on the court.
