Hello! My name is Sarah Richter, and I am an Outside Hitter playing for The Ursuline School (Ursuline) and a Defensive Specialist/ Setter for Robert Jacobson Sports Volleyball Club (RJS). At Ursuline, I am a member of the Class of 2023. My high school volleyball career started with junior varsity as a freshman, and I have been on the varsity team since sophomore year. I started playing volleyball in 6th grade and have played club volleyball with RJS as an outside and right-side hitter, libero, defensive specialist, and setter for five years.
In addition to playing volleyball, I enjoy coaching and organizing opportunities for younger players. During the summer of 2021, I helped run RJS’s volleyball camp and coached a team for RJS’s recreational league in the Fall of 2021.
Off the volleyball court, I spend my time focusing on academics and school clubs. I am a member of the National Honor Society and the National Art Honor Society. I am also a leader in a student-run collaboration with a fellow all-girls Catholic high school, the Convent of the Sacred Heart, to plan and execute a feminist event that will include speakers, activities, and discussions.
I am a driven student and athlete who strives to give 110% on and off the court. I pride myself on employing my vast array of experience gained throughout my volleyball career to perform any position my team needs effectively. I strive to constantly improve my skills and push myself to outperform my last practice or game.
