In my family sports have always been the center of our lives. With my dad as an athletic director, and my mom previously playing Division 1 basketball, sports have always been ingrained in us children. I started off playing sports like dance, gymnastics, and soccer but I never really loved the sport. Then I started doing competitive swim, and this opened my mind and body to have a drive and competitive side to a sport. I was practicing 5+ times a week going before and after school and I ended up going to the junior olympics, but I never really fell in love with the sport. So I decided to start playing volleyball competitively in 7th grade. I immediately fell in love with the sport and I knew that this is what I wanted to pursue in college. I began training just as hard as I previously was in swimming and made this my main focus. I had many coaches who pushed me harder each day to be my very best, and I was also working on the side to gain strength for my sport. In college I would love to continue to pursue my volleyball career as well as continuing my education to later on do what I love. I hope to find the right school to meet my academic, social and sports goals.
