Hello Coach,
Thank you for taking your precious time to preview my profile. I have been playing volleyball ever since I was in 4th grade. I love the feeling of being on a team, working together. I want to take my skills to the next level so that I can become a better player and teammate. I have always been an energetic player on and off the court and I don’t want to stop that after high school. My coaches have instilled in me to always want to learn more and to ask questions. The pandemic has caused me to be more proactive in advancing my skills outside of practice time. I have been working out twice a week with a private trainer working on my strength, speed, and vertical. I attend The Wheatley School in Old Westbury, New York. Some honors classes I have taken are AP World History, AP Biology, AP US History, AP Literature, SUPA Forensics, Enriched Regents Chemistry, Enriched Earth Science. This year the honors classes I'm taking include AP Physics 1, AP Calculus AB, and AP Government. This is my third and final year being a part of an English program called School Within a School, where students and teachers work together to teach and chose what we should learn in class while having the ability to take honors classes. With this program, I hold the position of the academic head. Each quarter we change the English and social science classes we take with my position I create the schedule for each quarter and place each student into their class to make sure they qualify for their English credit. I love every moment of working together with my teachers and peers, I would love to continue this in college with my team. Thank you for your time and I hope to hear from you soon!
Sincerely,
Lauren Hackett
