Everyone has that one thing they love doing in life. I happened to fall in love with volleyball. I've been around volleyball since I was in 2nd grade because my mom coached our school modified team. I went to camps, played club and really enjoyed the sport. In 8th grade I wanted to try something new and made a travel softball team in addition to playing volleyball. I was pretty good playing 3rd base and outfield and wanted to play competitively. I played travel softball for a couple years and we did well, but I realized I wasn't passionate about softball how I was when I stepped on a volleyball court.
Volleyball creates this excitement and love that I don't feel with with any other sport. I've played 2 other sports competitively and the way I feel when I step on a volleyball court is different. With volleyball I have a passion and desire to succeed and get better not only for myself, but my team. I will never give up on a play and will work tirelessly to improve my game.
I'm a team player who has strong communication skills, encourages teammates and aggressively goes after the ball. I'm kind, caring and competitive both on and off the court. Athletics have also helped me grow academically. Becoming part of the National Honor Society has been an accomplishment I’m proud of . I care about doing well in school and always putting my best foot forward.
Volleyball is a passion of mine and I hope to continue to play in college. If given the opportunity, I will work endlessly to make it a positive experience for all.
