Hi! My name is Solee West and I am a rising senior setter from White Plains High School. Before volleyball was offered,l I was actively involved in soccer, K-7th grade, I played for a travel soccer team. I switched to volleyball in 7th grade and fell in love with it ever since. Since I was 6 years old on the soccer field to now on the volleyball courts, I have experienced the value of teamwork. I have learned valuable skills that have helped me to grow and will impact my life in the future. Through volleyball I learned what sparks my anxiety, how to overcome obstacles, and what type of person I am. In 10th grade I switched school districts and I believe volleyball helped make the transition a success! I tried out for the JV team and I was offered a position on the Varsity team. I have a wide variety of volleyball experiences which include middle school, high school, club and beach volleyball. have switched positions from an outside hitter, middle, to setter, based on what the team needs. I would love to try ds. Through my volleyball experiences, I have learned that I am able to connect with people with different backgrounds, I am a hard worker, and determined. My academic goal is to keep taking challenging classes. I am interested in studying journalism or being a med major. I plan on playing volleyball in college and I hope that I can be a helpful asset on your team!
