I would first like to start by thanking everyone for taking the time to read my personal statement. Let me start off by saying i wouldn't be the person i am today without my mom. When i was younger i had asthma and sports were difficult for me. I soon started swimming, a recommendation from my doctor and since then I've had no problems with asthma anymore. I believe by overcoming asthma i became a more striving and determined person. I think myself to be a very good candidate for the swim team as i put it in 100% effort into every practice and competition. Besides of in the water, outside the water i like to be a good teammate and help out when needed.
