I started playing volleyball in 8th grade. My freshman year I was unable to play due to financial issues and the outbreak of the pandemic. When I came back to play my sophomore year, I was even hungrier for the opportunity to experience what I had been missing.
Receiving all-conference my junior and senior year was unexpected. I never had hopes of gaining recognition for volleyball initially, I just wanted to give it all I had. I realized early on that I have the ability to control the entire teams' energy on the floor and used it as best as I could. When my team was slacking, I would step it up even more. When they were having a bad day I would bring positive energy, even if I was having a bad day as well.
My hopes in college are to continue what I consider to be the best sport invented. I want to experience the adrenaline at a collegiate level and have a new team to make memories with and have chemistry with on the floor.
