Even though I have been a multi-sport athlete my whole life, playing volleyball is my passion. I’ve been on the club court for seven years now, having served as captain for two of them. As a junior, this is my fourth year on the Carolina Friends School Varsity team, and my second year as captain.
Recently, I was awarded AAU Academic-All American due to the service work I do with my high school and my performance with my club team at AAU Nationals. In August, my school team participated in the one tournament we play in each season, and I was recognized as All Tournament.
I first started for my high school varsity team as an 8th grader when we continued onto States and achieved the best win/loss record in school history. I earned All-Tournament that year as well, and All-Conference Honorable Mention at the end of our season. In summer 2017, I received the highest marks possible in an invitation-only USAV High Performance Select Camp.
As a 5’11.5” DS/OH, I am smart at the net, a strong passer, and always hungry for strong competition. I enjoy continuously pushing beyond my limits to attain new goals. When I think about my future as a collegiate athlete, I want a challenging academic program as well as an opportunity to participate on a volleyball team where I can have an impact. Off and on the court, I am a perfectionist who strives for success through positivity, hard work, and integrity.
To Note: For the past seven years I have attended Carolina Friends School, a Quaker-philosophy education where students do not receive GPAs, ranks, or grades. Carolina Friends School focuses on social justice, critical thinking, academic independence, collaboration, and helping others through service. I believe strongly that everyone can have a positive impact on those around them.
