Emily Ruble '22 Recruiting Profile

I am a 5’9” Setter from Fuquay Varina, NC. As a Freshman I started on the varsity team in multiple roles, Defensive Specialist, Opposite and ending the season as one of the starting Setters. I began my Volleyball career at the age of ten and have been training as a Setter since that time. As a leader on my club teams, I have been chosen by the team or coach as the team captain three of the last five years. The past two seasons I have played for Jody Brown, Jonathan Paulk and Emma Celentano, the current NC Central University Head Coach, Shaw University Head Coach and Mount Olive Head coach respectively and directors of Carolina Edge Volleyball Club. I currently have a 3.0GPA and I am taking all honors and AP courses.

I am interested in a mid to large institution with a wide range of culture, education and social activities. I would like to pursue an university with an outstanding academic reputation in the field of sociology. Ideally, my athletic environment would be one where I could make an immediate impact on the team. I am interested in any level of play that will help me succeed as a player, an educator and eventual a coach.
