Hi, my name is Emily Milano and I have been a defensive specialist, libero and setter since 6th grade. I am soon to complete my 3rd travel club season at Carolina Juniors Volleyball Club in Charlotte, NC where I have played on a very competitive SemiNational Team each year from Nov-June. I also play on Lake Norman Charter High School’s JV team. In addition, as of April 2019, I have added sand training on a weekly basis.
I want to play volleyball in college because I love the sport with all of my heart and I want to play as long as I possibly can. I cannot imagine not putting on a uniform and being a part of something so special. When I am on a volleyball team, my teammates and my coach feel like family. The relationships I have formed over the past few years playing with teammates and coaches, will last a lifetime.
When my teammates need an energy boost on and off the court, they can always look to me. I play with a lot of enthusiasm and I carry that enthusiasm in the locker room and in the team huddles. Volleyball has taught me to put 100% into everything I do including my school work. I am very serious about my academics, I am taking honors and AP classes.
