I am determined, good at managing my time, and believe that I can accomplish anything with hard work and tenacity. My passion for helping others and my community allowed me to become an avid volunteer. One of the many places I have assisted is with Crisis Control Ministries, while gathering food for Forsyth County families. Volunteering has helped me become mature and allowed me to experience other cultures. In my school, I am in the academically gifted English class. I was in the debate club and took a substantial role in black history awareness and morning announcements. In addition, I take the time to help my English teacher with minor classroom functions. I play the back middle position and outside hitter for the Chestnut Grove Volleyball Team. I ended my season with 48 aces and a total of 131 serves. Being a part of an athletic team allowed me to understand how my skills are best served in a team setting. My long term goal for my future is to attend a good college anywhere in the country, major in psychology, and earn my doctorate degree. I find myself fascinated by the brain and the various ways of how it works. This year, my short-term goals include joining the Civil Air Patrol and continuing a path towards my private pilot's license. My experience with manning an aircraft at such a young age inspired me to be confident and take on new and exciting things. I am confident and prepared to challenge myself in any way that I can. Please consider this opportunity for me to continue my educational and athletic journey, so that I may one day continue helping to be a vital part to the community and its future.
