My first experience with volleyball was in the seventh grade and after that season, I set a goal to play at the college level. I started club volleyball the following spring with Biltmore Volleyball Academy and have played for them since 2015 (playing on the top Elite team each year). I am a three-year starter on the varsity team at Tuscola High School finishing my junior year with all conference accolades the past two years. I am a setter for my high school team and libero on travel, which makes me very well-rounded. My leadership is exhibited as I was named captain for both my club and high school teams. I am willing to play either position if that will be beneficial to the team.
I am also a competitive dancer for Legacy Dance Center and have been part of a competitive team with the studio since 2nd grade. I compete in Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Lyrical, and Contemporary.
Early on, I knew I wanted to pursue a career in medicine. The past 2 summers I worked at a dental office as a dental assistant. However, I now have decided my long term goal is to become a Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon. I would like to attend a school that would offer a pre-med program or an undergraduate sports medicine degree.
