My parents have had a huge impact with sports in my life. My love for watching a variety of sports--including football, basketball, baseball, and volleyball--have all come from my parents and family. I got involved with volleyball in the fifth grade when I joined a volleyball club at my school. The club was coached by my future middle school volleyball coach.
Through playing volleyball, I have learned more about leadership, endurance, and passion for the game. The longer I play the sport, the more I understand about leadership. Leadership on the court involves working as a team encouraging one another to get to a common goal. A strong work ethic and endurance comes into play when you know what you want . . . to WIN! I have learned to never give up, even when not feeling very confident, and to strive for what I want.
