I started volleyball in my 6th-grade year in middle school. I have always been so fascinated by the sport itself but never saw myself playing until I tried it out for the first time. My whole life basketball was drilled into me with training and practices left and right, but little did I know that all of that hard conditioning and jumping practice would play a major role in my volleyball career. I fell in love with it from the start, and not only was it a good way for me to relieve stress and just have fun, but it's almost like it's become a part of who I am. I'm on the shorter side, and through the past 3 years of high school ball, my coach would always tell me I'll never be a hitter due to my height, but for my final year of school ball, I was named head captain and started front right every game. I never gave up, nor will I ever give up on anything especially when it comes to this sport I love; volleyball truly changed my life.
