Stephanie Bogda '15 Recruiting Profile

Hello. My name is Stephanie Bogda and I am writing to you as a student-athlete with the goal of becoming a part of your women's volleyball program. Currently, I am a junior at St. Francis Preparatory High School in Fresh Meadows, New York and at the completion of this year have been competitively paying indoor volleyball player for 6 years and sand volleyball for 4 years. I have played two indoor positions throughout my career both primarily as a setter and alternating to libero or defensive specialist. As a sand player I am a right side and defender.I actively compete in both sports throughout the year. However as a sand player and living in New York, I travel extensively, in order to train and compete with the best. I try to spend at least 1 week per month in the winter to train with my coaches in Florida. As an indoor player I have always played above my age level.  I enjoy working out and strive to be in top shape as to better my self and my game.

I am a talented artist interested in visual/fine art and am in the process of creating my art website for public viewing. My other extracurricular activities include varsity volleyball, photography and assisting my local CYO program as a volleyball instructor. I am an honor student currently taking college credit courses in science, history and art.

My career goals remain undefined at this point, but art and science are my strong subjects. I look forward to college as a wonderful opportunity to pursue my education and to focus on my career development. I believe my skills and abilities could be a good fit and enable me to contribute to the success of your sand volleyball team.
