The experience I have had on my high school varsity team since freshman year has allowed me to grow mentally and learn how to be a leader. I have learned how to use the pressure that is put on me by being more focused instead of letting the fear of making a mistake to bring me down.

I have also had experience in playing high-level volleyball by going to AAU Nationals the past two years. From this, I learned how to play my best through fatigue, as well as how to work well with teammates in times of high pressure. Ever since my first year of playing travel ball, I have been the captain of my team. This role has shown me the attributes a leader must have, such as positivity, encouragement, commitment, and passion.

I am not only looking for a volleyball program that will help me grow mentally, I am also looking for a college where I can academically grow in order to prepare me for the rest of my life. As I continue to play volleyball, I strive to continue to gain the characteristics needed to be a good teammate and to leave a positive impact on a college volleyball program.
