My natural tenacity and deeply ingrained work ethic will take me as far as I want to go.  Before I fell in love with Volleyball, I was a soccer player.  I therefore had a later start in volleyball than most competitors that I play with.  I have learned that with perseverance, hard work, and my natural tenacity, I can achieve whatever I set your mind to.  I not only closed the skill gap that originally existed when I chose to switch over to volleyball, I surpassed many of the other players that I started out with.  The highlight of my volleyball career so far was this year, 2016, when I played up one year in the 18s division and qualified for nationals.  This isn't just because we qualified, but because there is nothing more rewarding than overcoming odds and sharing a vision with a team that understands when you combine desire with hard work and skill, and encourage each other, you can achieve amazing things.  I want to be a part of a program that not only allows me to continue to flourish, but also gives me the opportunity to help others reach their potential.  I am a team player, and volleyball has given me an amazing place to apply and develop my personal strengths.  I am excited to continue my path at the collegiate level.
