Morgan Patterson '21 Recruiting Profile

I'm very vehement about volleyball, and I am very much excited to pursue my career at the next highest level while attending a school with studious academics. Setting at a higher level has always been a goal of mine, therefore I believe I am a good fit for the setting position because I enjoy overcoming challenges that are thrown at me. I have been told time and time again to have short term memory loss when it comes to mistakes, and I am a very strong believer in that because what happened can no longer be changed, so you can only move forward and forget. I am have been equipped with fast reflexes, and quick decision making, which is essential on and off the volleyball court. My competitiveness is outstanding, and it drives me to win every game, there's never a reason to give up in my eyes.  My team has looked up to me in the past year because they trust my decision making and appreciate my leadership on the team. As well as a leader off the court, I travel to the Junior High daily where I am a soon to be a teacher in training, and all of the kids look up to me and trust me. Pushing others to be their best is what I'm known for, so on that hand, I am very hard working and always eager to better myself. I believe that our team is only as strong as our weakest link, therefore why not push them to be just as strong? This eagerness has pushed me to be the player I am today, and I can see the continuous growth at the end of each and every year. I am very anxious to see the level I will be playing at by the end of high school and into college.

I am just as diligent in academics as I am when I play volleyball. My interest in children and math pulls me to Education. I am very strong and apply myself to AP and Honors classes because I am open to any challenge. I am looking forward to playing in a college that meets my athletic and academic goals, so I can set the path for my future.
