Paige Grissom '21 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing volleyball since Junior High. It wasn't until High School that I really fell in love with volleyball.  As a freshman I was a starter on JV as the libero.  I got promoted to Varsity when they went to the playoffs.  It was there where I got recruited to a club team.  My first practice at club volleyball was unforgettable.  I knew immediately, this is what I wanted to do in college.  I have been a starter on the Varsity team for my sophomore, junior, and senior year.  I am the captain this year and have lead my team to the playoffs! Our team tied for second in district and I cannot wait to see how we do in Playoffs. 

I am a defense specialist with experience as a libero, but this year I was asked to serve as our setter.  I am quick on my feet and will dive to make a play.  I am a team player and encourage my teammates to do their best.  I am a coachable player and take advice from my coaches to heart to better my game.  

I take academics very seriously.  I work hard to maintain my grades and manage all of my school work on top of sports, church, and family.  I am a babysitter on the weekend and full time during the summer.    

I am so excited about going to a college that pushes me to be a better athlete and student.  I am ready to work hard and prove that I am an exceptional athlete and student.
