Resilience is one of my top strengths, and it is a strength that I continue to cultivate. I suffered a traumatic loss at a young age and I leaned on resources around my family and me to grow through that experience. I discovered volleyball shortly after this experience, and it became one of my greatest passions. As a young player, I was able to play as a right-side hitter largely due to my height compared to other girls. Throughout the next few years, it became evident that my height was going to be a long-term challenge and I needed to train for a new position. I feel this is where my resilience kicked in again, as I transitioned to a DS/libero. As it turned out, I LOVE playing DS/Libero and I love that this is how I can best contribute to my team.
First and foremost, I am a teammate! I am 100% there for my team, and I am known to be the positive voice whether I am on the court or on the bench. My attitude is the same, whether we are winning or losing. I have been told that I am extremely coachable, versatile, and LOUD on the court (in a good way). I love playing volleyball and I'm grateful for what this sport has taught me. I aspire to attend a college that has my desired major (which I am still considering), and provides a structured environment where I can thrive.
Thank you for your consideration!
