Hi! My name is Kathryn (Katie) Quinn. I am currently 17 years old and live in Delafield, Wisconsin. Thanks for taking the time to look over my profile! I look forward to hearing from you.
What I want in College:
I am looking for a college that challenges me and supports me in my academic career, volleyball career, social development, and spiritual life. I also look forward to contributing my gifts and talents to the school I choose.
Academically, I am looking for a school that will help me achieve my goal of working in the world of Sports Management. My father is the fourth generation Quinn working for a Major League Baseball team. I have my eyes set on continuing the family "tradition", but also to be the first female in my family, and fourth in the country, to run a baseball team.
Athletically, I am looking for a college with not only a strong volleyball program, but a strong connection between me, the coaches, and my possible future teammates.
My Volleyball Career:
I have been playing volleyball since I was 9 years old and it is definitely my passion. I will never forget the first moment I passed the ball with my older sister and immediately knew that this was the sport I wanted to pursue.
School Volleyball: I have been a strong leader on the Varsity Volleyball team for University Lake School since Freshman year.
Freshman year, I made 1st Team All-Conference and Libero of the Year in my conference. Sophomore year, I made 1st Team All-Conference, MVP, and Setter of the Year (both my sophomore and junior year, our main setter was injured, and my coach needed me to step into the role). Junior year, I made 1st Team All-Conference, MVP, and Setter of the Year, and also was named captain my junior year, as well as me senior year. I am looking forward to a strong final year in high school volleyball.
Club Volleyball: I have been playing on competitive club volleyball teams since I was 9 years old. All my teams have competed in the Chicago Power League or Great Lakes Power League, and have attended AAU Nationals. I have been a leader on my club teams every year. I am determined, receptive to coaches feedback, and genuinely love the game of volleyball.
To see more about my club volleyball experience and videos, I have uploaded videos from past tournaments and will continue to do so.
Thank you!
