Ashley Harris '18 Recruiting Profile

Hello! My name is Ashley. I have played volleyball since I was a Northside dolphin in 4th grade. My goals have been in steps, first it was middle school volleyball, then high school freshman, and now jv. I hope to continue climbing these steps to varsity volleyball and college volleyball. On these kind of things people always talk about how they play and well, yes, that is important. Being able to play isn't what is always vital to the team. Sometimes you have to be there for your teammates. You have to keep your head up, cheer your head off for your teammates and stay positive even if you dont get to play in a certain match. And thats what makes me different.  I want to be thought of a great volleyball player as well as a great teammate. I carry the ability to play in all 6 rotations and also cheer my team on and be the most encouraging bench one has ever seen (and well, heard). I can play in all different positions but i can also be a leader and a great teammate in the most important time. I am very determined, I refuse to back down, on the court and in the classroom. Thats what has helped me keep my 3.9 and better GPA. It is also what keeps me outside for an hour or two maybe more everyday practicing my weaknesses but also my strengths because there is always room for improvement.
