Good morning/afternoon Coaches!
My name is Shelby Murrell, I am excited to start learning from all of you. Some skills and assets I would bring to your team are leadership, commitment, and accountability for myself and the team. My main goal for playing college volleyball is to grow with the team as a whole, and be a positive influence on and off the court. My academic goal is to further advance my career interests, such as being a large and small animal veterinarian. Also being aware of all the opportunities of managing my time with academics and athletics. I am all in when it comes to academics, as well as on the court. I have an undying passion for the game. I have extreme determination for making my dreams, and the dream of the team become a reality. I am also involved with other school activities, as well as being heavily involved with the community. For example, I am an active member in FFA, which teaches leadership and social skills. Throughout my involvement with FFA I have learned how to communicate with my team, and coaches. I have also learned when to step up as a leader to maintain team positivity in tough game situations. Also, being a member in FFA we do a lot of community services to help everyone be more involved and connected within the community. I am very excited to continue to grow and learn not only as a volleyball player, but as a leader on and off the court.
