I started to swim competitively at a very young age; It wasn't until junior high that I was introduced to water polo and I fell in love with the sport and the community. I loved swimming and was interested in a sport that was team-oriented and had a more physical aspect to it. The high intensity and competitiveness of water polo was a big draw for me. I have made sacrifices and put in a lot of hard work to help my team win and succeed. Water polo has greatly impacted and improved my work ethic, my ability to work well with others, my connection to my school, and the community. I plan to play with my club team over the summer in order to train for my last season of high school water polo and I intend to graduate with a 4.0 GPA or higher. I would like to attend college after high school and be a part of a water polo program where I could bring my hard work and passion to win. I believe my experience playing at various levels and with various age groups has helped to improve my skills. In my school, I am involved in leadership and on my water polo team, I am a leader as well. I credit water polo for my success in the classroom and in the pool. I believe I possess the drive and determination to be an asset to my team and I will demonstrate my work ethic every day.
