2020 Highlights I have been playing water polo competitively for nearly 9 years now and have aspired to play at the collegiate level for several of those years. I am passionate about the sport and believe my dedication to water polo is evident in my performance. I am ambitious and driven in everything that I do and I believe that finding the best fit school for me is of utmost priority. Not only do I want to grow as an athlete, I want to grow as an academic scholar as well. I have learned to balance my schoolwork, having been at a highly rigorous college readiness school since 6th grade, while maintaining all of my extracurriculars with water polo being at the top of that list. I value commitment, work ethic, and respect for everyone I meet. Teamwork and sportsmanship are important to me inside and outside of the water. I take instruction extremely well and often reflect on areas of strengths and weaknesses that I can work on. Some of my strengths in water polo include my defensive skills, shooting, passing and my teamwork; while my weaknesses lie primarily in my tendency to let others take the shot and not always moving in towards the goal on a drive. Nonetheless, I am consistently working to improve on these areas and in no means are they detrimental to my game as my mental game often outshines those aspects. I believe that my irreplaceable experience in ODP, Junior Olympics, and various water polo tournaments amongst the West Coast makes me a highly qualified candidate as well. I constantly strive to grow and learn and am hoping to find a place where I can pursue both water polo, as well as, academics at the highest level possible while being open and grateful for any opportunities I am afforded. Thank you for your consideration.
