Riley Stokes '25 Recruiting Profile

Hello,

My name is Riley Stokes. I am seeking opportunities to continue my academic career and my wrestling career. As a student athlete with personal goals I’m looking for programs with athletes and staff who are just as driven as I am. I am also looking for a school that will academically challenge me to be the best version of me. I plan to major in Nutrition and later pursue a career as a Licensed Sports Nutritionist. It is my goal to work as hard as I can and get better every chance I get. I have a drive to be better not only on the mat but also as a person iin the world.

During my career as a wrestler, I have competed for 2 seasons on the Varsity Women’s Wrestling team at Smoky Mountain High School and I am currently in my second season with my travel team, Relentless Wrestling (Hendersonville, NC). In my first season I qualified and placed 4th at regionals, which then qualified me for state. Then this past season I was the Women’s Heavyweight/235, All-Conference Champion and Regional qualifier. 

The past 3 years I have also served as an FFA Officer serving and guiding my peers through the club and organization. Since being an officer I have learned leadership, team-building, public speaking and problem solving skills. 

Alongside wrestling, I also play softball. I have played for 9 years and have been a part of the Varsity Softball team during my Freshman and Junior years. 

With me you and your program would gain a leader, a self-driven athlete, and a hard worker. I strive to lift others up and push them to be the best version of themselves that they can.
