High School Career
I only started wrestling in 9th grade. I immediately fell in love with it. Club season after freshman year was canceled after just a few weeks due to Covid. Even so, I went from a Freshman JV 5-5 season to a Sophomore record of 17-11 on varsity and a 4th place finish at districts.
Between 10th and 11th grade I was able to train the way I wanted. I attended practice at Purler weekly. I also spent more than 20 nights at camps with Purler. I lifted weights 3-4 days/week.
I had high expectations going into my Junior year. I was 24-8 going into Districts. I placed in all five regular season tournaments I entered; three 2nds, one 3rd and a 4th. I entered Districts, our state qualifying tournament, seeded 2nd. Unfortunately I sprained my thumb during my second match and just wasn’t 100% and couldn’t get it done.
I have unfinished business and am putting all my energy into preparing for my senior year.
Collegiate Goals
I want to wrestle in college because no matter what happens my Senior year, I know I will still have unfinished business. I want to see just how far I can go.
