I have been out of the wrestling world for the last 3.5 years. After graduation from high school I enlisted in the United States Marines. During my enlistment I was lucky enough to be part of a Marine Corps expedition Unit. That allowed me to travel the world. Now my 4 years are almost up and I would love to start my college wrestling career next fall. Prior to joining the Marines I wrestled for 13 years. My four years in high school I placed in the top 5 at the State championships. I've always known that I wanted to wrestle in college or join the military. I want to improve my skills to be the best wrestler I can be. In the wrestling room, I am always the hardest-working member of the team. Off the mat, I take it to the next level and work my hardest. Whether that be in school or working out, I am always putting in the work so that I can better myself for the future. I always have a good attitude toward opponents and coaches. I also want to improve my skills so that one day I can be a wrestling coach and pass on my love for wrestling. Some of the most important people in my life have been my wrestling coaches. They have always been able to push me to my fullest potential on and off the mat. I want to be that person for kids when I become a wrestling coach. I want to wrestle in college because wrestling has always been a huge part of my life that I shared from the start with my best friend. All through federation, we wrestled the same weight class and in many tournaments, it came down to the two of us. But, we always were able to keep it on the mat. In high school, we finally made different weights but he still was my best practice partner because we knew how to push each other. He died in a car accident our senior year, and I want to wrestle for as long as I can not just for myself but for him as well because he shared the same love for wrestling as I do.
