My name is Nicolo, people call me Nico. I've been wrestling for 12 years now. I first started because my father wrestled & he signed me up to wrestle. As soon as I had a few tournaments under my belt I loved wrestling. I've been on varsity since the 9th grade. My freshman year I had 20 wins 12 losses & placed 3rd in Beacon Bulldog tournament, my sophmore year I had 34 wins & 12 losses & placed 4th in varsity sections, 4th in Mid-Hudson tournament, 4th in Beacon Bulldog tournament. Junior year I placed 2nd in Mid Hudson tournament, & 4th in varsity sections & my record was 33wins 10 losses. I was also a captain. My wrestling goals for my senior year is to win sections, place in states & get my 100th varsity win. My academic goal is to get A's & B's in all my classes. Some of the things that would make me an asset to colleges are; I'm hard working in practice & on the mat, I'm trainable, NY is a great wrestling state, I can fill the light weight positions ( I wrestled 106lbs my freshman year & 99lbs my sophmore year) or wherever the coach needs me, I want to be successful in college, my grades are important to me.
At the end of my junior year I was given the integrity award by my coaches. I was honored to receive that award from them.
Thank you for considering me. I look forward to hearing from you.
