I started wrestling in the third grade and continued in the development program until fifth grade. I tried other sports in Junior High but quickly realized that wrestling is the ideal sport for me. My freshman year I wrestled many upper classmen and learned a great deal. My sophomore year, I gained more experience and my win total increased. This past freestyle-greco season I went from losing hard fought folkstyle matches by one or two points in the regular season to tech falling and pinning kids all across upstate NY. This year my goal for the regular season is to compete at the state tournament and my goal for the off season is to compete at Fargo. I believe my work ethic is what separates me from most of my peers; give me a mat and I will be the hardest and most coachable wrestler in the room.
