Playing baseball has long been a passion of mine and, while I do hope to play the game professionally, I understand the percentages of that happening are not in my favor. That being said, earning a college scholarship is very important to me and my family. Besides the financial impact, earning a scholarship would allow me to continue my dream, but would also allow me to pursue a degree which will help prepare me for life after my playing career is over.
Outside of my parents, I would say the biggest influence in my life has been my older brother. Our family is very close and we spend a lot of time together doing things we love like playing golf, snowboarding, playing video games, attending various sporting events, etc. He's probably my biggest supporter always pushing me to be the best I can. The two things he always tells me that I can control are attitude and effort!
Besides being my brother he is probably my best friend. I've always looked up to him and tried to emulate his accomplishment both in the classroom and athletically.
