The lessons I have learned so far in my career as a student-athlete are ones that I feel have prepared me well for the challenges that lie ahead in college. As a baseball player, I have competed and succeeded at the highest level while developing a proven track record of success in high pressure situations. This past year, as a Junior, I was the winning pitcher in my Varsity team's County Championship game and earned All County status. As a travel baseball player, I've played in dozens of highly competitive tournaments throughout the country where I've consistently ranked amongst the top hitting and pitching prospects. As a 3 sport athlete, I have dedicated myself to being a good teammate that my coaches and teammates can count on. I've committed myself to the values of sportsmanship, hard work, and discipline which are necessary for success. It has always been my desire to play baseball at the college level and, in order to achieve this goal, I’ve pursued a rigorous path on the field and in the classroom that has challenged me both academically and physically. As a member of the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) Student Athlete Advisory Committee, I continue to seek opportunities to support my peers and coaches in the world of interscholastic athletics. I believe that my experiences make me a good candidate for a college baseball program and coaching staff that is looking for a skilled, gritty and smart ballplayer who can be a positive contributor to their team's success.
