Personal Statement

I was first introduced to field hockey by my teacher in sixth grade, who later became my coach. Playing field hockey has taught me that discipline and passion are the key fundamentals to grow not only as a player, but as a student as well. I hope to find a school that prioritizes academics as much as I do, and gives me the opportunity to continue the sport I love. I intend on pursuing a career filled with math. My goal is to attend an affordable school that challenges me academically and athletically to maximize on all opportunities. I have a unique background on the sport as I play on grass fields at school, turf fields at club, tennis courts, and even my schools' track on a rainy day. Having played on all types of surfaces and with players more skilled than I am, I have the tools to constantly push myself with grit and integrity in order to reach the next level. I am certainly ready to bring this passion to the collegiate level.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
