As a varsity athlete in high school, I believe that participating in multiple sports has really helped improve my field hockey skills. I started out first as a lacrosse goalie in elementary and middle school. Playing lacrosse has helped me with better footwork, hand-eye coordination, and faster reflexes. It also helped me develop strong mental toughness early on as a young player. This past year I also took up boxing in the off season, which helped me develop more power, explosiveness, and a mindset to attack the ball. I would really like to play field hockey at the college level because I think I can contribute at a high level, and I love being a part of a positive team culture.
