My name is Lauren Briody and I am a junior at Locust Valley High School in New York. I have been on the Varsity Field Hockey team the past three years and one of the very few starters as a freshman. My freshman year, I contributed to the first undefeated season in my high schools history winning the league and conference championship and personally as a sophomore winning All County Honorable Mention. This year I received the All County award. I am part of the Lasting Legacy Field Hockey Club, and we play field hockey and attend tournaments year round. I am extremely passionate about field hockey, as I train everyday to improve my fitness as well as my skills. Both of my brothers are NCAA athletes and I completely understand the commitment of being a collegiate athlete. Outside of field hockey, I play lacrosse during the spring season. As for clubs, I am part of the Athletic Council, Interact club, and Athletes Helping Athletes Program. Academically, I am an Honors student and take multiple IB and AP courses.
